Paying for Your Care
At Gulch Dental Studio, our rates are comparable to less modernized dental offices in Nashville. This means you can receive affordable dental care without sacrificing quality. We go several steps further in making our care accessible by accepting:
Dental Insurance
Many insurance plans include at least partial coverage for emergency dental treatment. Our team is happy to determine your coverage and help you maximize your benefits. We accept most insurances and can file your claim with your insurance company.
Financing Options
If you have out-of-pocket expenses, we accept financing through CareCredit®. This third-party lender allows patients who qualify to pay for their care in affordable monthly installments.
Cash and Credit
You can pay for your emergency dentistry procedure with cash or credit cards. We accept American Express, Discover, Mastercard, and Visa, so you can apply cashback or other rewards.
Sit Back and Relax With Sedation
When you’re stressed about a dental emergency, we don’t want you to be worried about pain, too. Our goal is to make your treatment as painless and easy as possible. We accomplish this through the use of:
Local Anesthesia
Our dentists can administer local anesthesia, a pain blocker at the treatment site. This numbs the area so any discomfort you feel is minimal.
Nitrous Oxide
Nitrous oxide is a mild form of sedation administered through a nose mask. This sedation keeps you calm, but awake throughout your procedure. Nitrous oxide takes effect quickly and is readily available in our office, making it a great option for same-day emergency appointments. The effects of the gas wear off quickly once the nose mask is removed, so patients who receive this form of sedation can drive themselves home after their appointment.
Oral Conscious Sedation
Oral conscious sedation is a prescribed sedative that you take before your appointment. It will help you relax through your procedure, but you’ll still be awake. The relaxing effects can last for a few hours, so a trusted friend or family member will have to drive you home after your appointment.
IV Sedation
If you need a heavier form of sedation, we can bring in a licensed anesthesiologist to administer IV sedation. This sedative can induce a twilight state (a state in which you are completely relaxed but cooperative) or render you unconscious. Our anesthesiologist monitors you throughout your appointment, making this a safe option for many patients. If you receive IV sedation, someone will have to drive you home after your appointment.
Emergency Dentist FAQ
Can’t I just go to the emergency room?
Emergency room providers can give you antibiotics for infections and pain relievers to address pain and swelling. They cannot extract teeth or place dental restorations. If you want to address the root of your dental issue and find a lasting solution, visiting our emergency dentists in Nashville is your best bet.
Do emergency dental procedures hurt?
We do everything we can to keep our Nashville patients comfortable throughout their procedures. With local anesthesia and every level of sedation available, our patients can sit back, relax, and enjoy a virtually painless experience—and an effective solution to their dental emergency.
